Dana Buxton

Dana is passionate about all things psychology and extending her knowledge in order to help others

Dana is a Registered Psychologist who completed Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) in 2017 at Newcastle University. Her honours thesis explored the impacts of a growth mindset on young people’s wellbeing. In 2020 Dana completed her internship program in a private practice gaining experiences working with the disability sector, mental health, rural and forensic avenues. Dana presently works in private practice with clients across the lifespan and is currently completing her Masters of Professional Practice (Clinical) in order to work towards her clinical registrarship and endorsement. 

Dana is passionate about all things psychology and has a love of learning and extending her knowledge in order to help others. Dana utilises a range of evidence-based practices to provide a person-centred and collaborative approach to assist people towards their goals. Dana takes a strengths-based and inclusive focus to her work in order to provide a safe and positive environment to all of her clients. 

When not at work, Dana loves hiking and exploring the Australian bushland with her husband. She also loves a good coffee, a good chat and cats.
