Dr Jamin Day

Jamin’s focus is on strengthening the emotional and behavioural wellbeing of parents and their children.

Jamin completed his Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) at the University of Newcastle in 2006, and in 2016, he completed a PhD with the Parenting and Family Support Centre at the University of Queensland.

Jamin has had extensive training in behavioural and clinical assessment with children, parenting and family-based interventions, and compassion focused therapy, and is a registered psychologist with AHPRA and Medicare. He has also worked as a psychologist in the disability sector, supporting children with autism spectrum conditions and other disabilities.

Jamin loves helping frazzled parents find ways to navigate the many challenges of raising children. His work focuses on strengthening the emotional and behavioural wellbeing of parents and their children, drawing on clinical models of compassion science alongside developmental, cognitive and behavioural psychology.

He lives in Newcastle with his wife and enjoys wrestles, soccer and playing video games with his three young children.
