Nathan Dearing

Nathan Dearing is a psychologist who is passionate about supporting children, teenagers and parents in ways that are creative, empowering and specific to the needs of the family.

Nathan completed a Bachelor of Psychology in 2011 at the University of Newcastle and completed a Master of Narrative Therapy and Community Work in 2017 at the University of Melbourne. Nathan has many years of experience supporting children, teenagers and caregivers in navigating the psychological difficulties commonly faced in the younger years of life. Nathan has a particular interest in working with children and families who have experienced complex trauma and attachment difficulties. He has completed extensive training in helping young people and families find healing through warm, engaging and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

Nathan is registered as a psychologist with AHPRA, the Australian Psychological Society (APS), Medicare, is a provider through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and is a registered Circle of Security program facilitator.

Nathan was born and raised in Newcastle, enjoys keeping active, good coffee and exploring new places alongside his wife and young family.
